Graduate Admission Requirements

To be considered for graduate school at Illinois State, you’ll need a four-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a college or university that is accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting association.

Apply to Your Program

Many graduate programs at Illinois State use a Centralized Application Service. This lets you fill out one application and apply to multiple schools.

Program-Specific Applications

Some graduate programs have their own unique applications.

  • Athletic Training

    Apply to the Master’s of Athletic Training program through the Athletic Training Centralized Application Service (ATCAS).

  • Audiology

    Apply to the Doctorate of Audiology program through the Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application Service (CSDCAS).

  • Business Programs

    Apply to any Illinois State College of Business graduate program through the Business Centralized Application Service (BusinessCAS).




  • Speech-Language Pathology

    Apply to the Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology program through the Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application Service (CSDCAS).


General Graduate Application

Apply to all other Illinois State graduate programs through the Graduate Centralized Application Service (GradCAS).

  • GradCAS Application

    This new application platform lets you apply to an Illinois State graduate program starting for Summer 2023 and beyond.
